The Hunt Experience:
The experience begins an hour before daylight when everyone gathers for coffee, juice and pastries while going over details of
the hunt and signing a hunters safety release. For drive-in hunters we ask that you arrive at least one hour prior to sunrise.
After everyone has had an opportunity to ask any questions that might arise, The hunters gather onto a hunting trailer that is
towed by a john deer tractor. Hunters are dropped off at one of the nine sloughs and ponds to climb into the blinds and ready
themselves for the hunt. The ducks are callable and we encourage you to bring your duck call. We welcome the use of
retrievers and the blinds are built to accommodate them.  After adequate time is given to get your limit,  the trailer arrives to
pick you up for the return trip to the cabin.  At the cabin you will be treated to a full home cooked breakfast spread consisting of
ham, sausage, grits eggs, gravy and coffee. The experience generally winds down between 10:00-11:00 o'clock a.m. It has
been said that the breakfast is worth the trip. We look forward to having you join us soon!

Requirements:

Skeeter Branch operates under shooting preserve commercial  license # 30034,  therefore it is not necessary for the
hunter to hold a current hunting license.
However, state law requires that children who have reached the age of 12
and persons born on or after January 1, 1961, must satisfactorily complete an approved hunter education course
before procuring a hunting license or hunting by means of weapons (OCGA 27-2-5). There are a couple of
exceptions; the first being, if a hunter age 12-15 is directly supervised by an adult licensed hunter and the second
being if a hunter does not purchase a hunting license and instead opts to purchase one of two recently created
short-term (3-day) licenses.
The short term license would benefit the guest who wishes to hunt but does not
currently satisfy the hunter education requirement.
License are available through the following three methods:
Internet: gohuntgeorgia.com, Phone: 1-800-366-2661, In person: License dealers statewide. Check the list of
vendors at gohuntgeorgia.com.

We insist that our birds be hunted with respect, requiring that hunters limit themselves to one box of ammunition (25
count). This box limit applies regardless of bird limit package.

We also require  # 5 shot or larger, preferably #2's or #4's,  in tungsten, bismuth, heavy shot or steel.

Absolutely no lead shot.

We offer comfortable accommodations for your hunting dog companion for overnight stays and
encourage you to bring them.

Please bring a  hunting mask and hip boots or waders.  A face mask can be provided at low cost if
needed.
