| Skeeter Branch Hunting Preserve is 250 acres of hunting paradise nestled in the northeast corner of Georgia just minutes from Hartwell lake (5th largest reservoir east of the Mississippi River). Skeeter Branch's flooded cornfield's and annual wild duck release program guarantees a duck hunt of a lifetime. Bob Cathey, a cattle farmer and egg producer, envisioned a duck hunter's dream when he, his wife Leila and son Daniel founded Skeeter Branch in 1985. Skeeter Branch offers comfortable lodging for up to sixteen people, home cooking, dog accommodations, guides and calling in an atmosphere that is second to none. |

The facilities include the original hunting lodge, a new bunk house, an outdoor picnic area with fireplace and a remodeled cabin originally constructed in the 1800's. The pre civil war era cabin is the latest addition to the lodge grounds and is a must see for history enthusiasts. |
